This is my next chapter after starting and growing Vosges Haut-Chocolat for more than 25 years.
I have begun again.
I have always been a seeker, drawn toward self-truth and the discipline of listening to it. Whenever I have ignored that truth, life has responded swiftly. What once felt like chaos, I now understand as acceleration.
Growth has rarely arrived gently. It has arrived decisively, demanding that I evolve. Over time, I have learned that resilience and unwavering self-trust transform fear into power. When we trust our inner compass, what appears impossible begins to reorganize itself. It does not disappear, but it becomes navigable.
And so I find myself here again, called to create in loving partnership with cacao.
I have long felt connected to the spirit of cacao, as so many have across cultures and centuries. Yet I know my work with it is unfinished. This chapter is rooted in energetics—the energetics of imagination, of essence, of botanicals, and the intelligence they carry.
Every living being holds a spark, a Divine Signature entirely its own. My hope is that when you taste these chocolates, you recognize that spark not only within the cacao, but within yourself.
As you open these truffle collections, you are invited into the Cacao Spiritus Experience, an exploration of imagination as a gateway to essence.
Imagination is not fantasy. It is perception refined. It is the doorway to inner wisdom and the courage to trust your innate gifts.
My intention is to hold up a mirror and celebrate you, your singular presence, your one-in-a-trillion expression. When each of us trusts that unique gift, purpose becomes clear and life grows more vivid, more creative, and more deeply lived.

GUARDIAN OF CACAO
Violet Flame is Katrina Markoff’s most distilled expression of chocolate.
After redefining luxury confections through her first brand Vosges Haut-Chocolat with global spices and cultural reverence, Markoff turned inward. Violet Flame is not expansion. It is refinement, a deeper concentration of craft and consciousness.
Each collection is tightly curated. Truffles, gianduia, toffee, sipping cacao. Nothing ornamental, as the integrity of the cacao leads.
Sourced from biodynamic and organic farms, every ingredient is selected with restraint. Flavor unfolds in measured layers rather than spectacle.
RARIFIED INGREDIENTS
From PDO-certified Sicilian pistachios harvested biannually to single-origin cacao drawn from small, devoted farming communities, sourcing is custodial, curated and intentional. Each botanical is chosen for both sensory complexity and energetic integrity.
Produced in small batches with uncompromising standards, Violet Flame is a study in focus. Chocolate crafted with reverence for the material and respect for its lineage.

We believe true luxury honors the earth as deeply as it celebrates beauty.
Our signature chocolate boxes are designed as keepsakes—objects to be collected, repurposed, and treasured long after the final chocolate has been enjoyed.
Crafted from FSC-certified cardboard and paper sourced from responsibly managed forests, our packaging incorporates recycled materials and is thoughtfully constructed with minimal glue and no magnets. We choose compostable films in place of conventional plastic packaging, bringing the same intention to what surrounds our chocolates as to what lies within.
This philosophy extends to every shipment, in every season. Our recyclable and compostable shipping materials, including warm-weather protective packaging, compostable insulation, and biodegradable gel packs, are selected to preserve the integrity of our chocolates while reducing unnecessary waste.
For us, sustainability is not separate from luxury.
It is an expression of it.
